Gallery 3
In conjunction with Lita Albuquerque’s exhibition Cosmic Land at the Palm Springs Art Museum and her forthcoming project with High Desert Test Sites, Michael Kohn Gallery is pleased to present a selection of the artist’s work in Gallery 3. The presentation includes works from her Auric Field series, which explores the relationship between color, light, and energy, and Najma, a celestial figure whose journey bridges the earthly and the cosmic. Also on view is a painting from a new series inspired by bodily gestures and ancient forms of mark-making, evoking a hieroglyphic language known only to the artist. Together, these works reflect Albuquerque’s ongoing exploration of the connections between humanity, nature, and the cosmos.
